the email tool that makes email marketing simple
Email Sender Information
Updated: August 22, 2024
You are required to include your sender information, including a physical mailing address, inside every promotional email you send in order to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, and other anti-spam laws of the countries your recipients live in.
Sender Details
Your Sender Name tells subscribers who they are receiving emails from. Subscribers check the Sender Name first when deciding if an email is spam. So it’s important to use a clearly recognisable name. For example, we use “The Maildroppa Team” as our Sender Name.
Your Sender Email is the email address that appears in the “From” line at the top of the email. When subscribers hit the “reply” button, this is the address they reply to. We use noreply@mail.mydroppa.com. You’ll want to use an email address that is checked often, so you can respond quickly to the queries from subscribers. These are your most engaged readers, so you don’t want to miss any opportunities!

You can use different Sender Names and Emails for different purposes, but it’s important that they have a consistent look and appear legit. For example, it’s best to use addresses from a domain you own and a name obviously associated with that domain. This gives you credibility and your emails are less likely to be flagged as spam.
In order to send emails on your behalf, we have to verify each Sender Address you create. But don’t worry; it’s simple. After submitting your info, you’ll receive an email with a link for verification. Simply click on it, and you’re done! If you plan to send from different addresses on the same domain, you can even verify the whole domain.
Profile Info
Maildroppa requires every user to follow our anti-spam policies. These are in line with CAN-SPAM which is the US law regarding commercial emails.
CAN-SPAM requires that every commercial email includes a physical postal address of the sender. Registered PO boxes are also OK. We automatically add this information to the footer of every email you send with Maildroppa, so please make sure it’s up-to-date.
