If you are coming from another email marketing platform, you may need to import your existing contacts from that platform. You can easily add an existing list of subscribers into your Maildroppa account via CSV import.
Here are some things to know before you begin this process.
To get started, you'll need a blank sheet in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, saved or exported as a comma separated value (CSV) file.
You'll need prepare your spreadsheet of contacts outside of Maildroppa and save it as a CSV file.
All the information in the Excel file should be placed on one sheet.
If your list of subscribers contains non-English characters, ensure the file is saved using UTF-8 encoding before you import it.
Here’s an example of how an Excel file should look:
It's easy to import your existing subscriber list into Maildroppa with this small 5-step guide.
Go to the Subscribers tab in the left menu.
Click the Add a New Subscriber button and choose Import from CSV.
Upload your CSV file.
On the next page, drag and drop a CSV file with your subscribers or select it from your computer. In the settings select a subscribers status and file delimiters. Make the checkbox active, if the first line contains the names of the items. Once you're done, click the Continue button.
Map the columns to fields.
Select which column contains first names, and which contains email addresses, so the data is mapped correctly once imported:
Click the Import button.
That's it! Please note it may take some time for all of the imported subscribers to show up in your account, but you'll receive an email once your import is complete.
