Custom Events
Use a Custom Event when your backend can call the central Events API with the account API key. A stable event can start the relevant Automation and provide temporary event data for personalization and conditions.
Incoming Automation Webhooks
Use an incoming webhook URL when another tool can send JSON but should not use the account-wide API key. The secret URL belongs to one Automation and can be tested before activation.
Both routes bring outside activity into a visible Maildroppa journey. Choose the one that matches the external system and security model.
Continue the workflow in another system
Add an outgoing webhook step when another system should act after a subscriber reaches a specific point in an Automation. Send selected subscriber data in a signed JSON request, test the destination before activation, and review production delivery history when something needs investigation.
Use this for a qualification handoff, onboarding milestone, booking update, customer-state change, or another deliberate continuation outside Maildroppa.
Receive signed account-wide notifications
Account webhooks listen for selected events across the Maildroppa account rather than one specific Automation step. Signed deliveries, test tools, delivery history, retries, and replay controls make the notification path easier to operate.
Account webhooks and outgoing Automation webhooks solve different problems: one reports selected account events; the other runs only when a subscriber reaches a defined step.

How do I access the Make integration?

Is the WordPress plugin available?
The plugin is developed and submitted for review. Until the public listing is available, use the generated JavaScript or HTML embed code.
Do I need to code an integration?
Not for Zapier, Make, or the WordPress plugin. A direct API or webhook integration normally requires someone who can configure the external system or write server-side code.
What is the difference between an incoming and outgoing Automation webhook?
An incoming webhook lets an external system start one Automation and provide event data. An outgoing webhook sends data to another system when a subscriber reaches a step.
What is the difference between an Automation webhook and an account webhook?
An Automation webhook is tied to one subscriber reaching one step. An account webhook listens for selected events across the account.
Is the API stable?
The API is available and currently marked beta. Use the linked OpenAPI documentation as the contract for supported endpoints, request bodies, and limits.
Do integrations bypass Double Opt-in or permission requirements?
No. The business remains responsible for permission and lawful data handling. Use the Double Opt-in request path where confirmation is required and do not import or synchronize purchased or unsolicited lists.
Are integrations included in the free plan?
